Meet Marco Whittaker

 Marco Whittaker is an environmentalist and community activist currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at Garden State Inspection Corp, a role he has held since November 2023. With a strong background in environmental safety, Marco has extensive experience as an EPA Lead-Based Paint Inspector/Risk Assessor, working with companies like MLE Professional Services Corp and Exceptional Inspection Services Inc.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Marco is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science at Hudson County Community College, where he has been studying since 2022. His commitment to both his field and his community is evident in his volunteer work with organizations such as Bloomberg Philanthropies, The Jack & Ronnie McGreevey Association, The Fortune Society, and El Ministerio El Sol Sale Para Todos.

Marco’s journey began in 2019 as a participant at The Fortune Society, a New York City-based nonprofit that supports formerly incarcerated individuals. Through their programs, he found the foundation for his new life and has since become a passionate advocate and spokesperson for the organization. He continues to give back by running with The Fortune Flyers, a team dedicated to raising funds for The Fortune Society through the TCS NYC Marathon each fall.

Beyond his environmental work, Marco is committed to using his experiences to inspire and motivate at-risk youth and adults, encouraging them to strive for better opportunities and a brighter future.
